Will somebody wear me to the fair?
Will a lady pin me in her hair?
Will a child find me by a stream?
Kiss my petals and weave me through a dream.
For all of these simple things and much more a flower was born
It blooms to spread love and joy faith and hope to people forlorn
Inside every man lives the seed of a flower
If he looks within he finds beauty and power
Ring all the bells sing and tell the people that be everywhere that the flower has come
Light up the sky with your prayers of gladness and rejoice for the darkness is gone
Throw off your fears let your heart beat freely at the sign that a new time is born.
Inside My Love
Two people, just meeting
Barely touching each other
Two spirits greeting
Trying to carry it further
You are one and I am another
We should be one inside each other
You can see inside me
Will you come inside me?
Do you wanna ride inside my love?
You can see inside me
Will you come inside me?
Do you wanna ride inside my love?
Two strangers, not strangers
Only lacking the knowing
So willing, feeling, infinite growing
While were here the whole world is turning
We should be one
Fulfilling our yearning
You can see inside me
Will you come inside me?
Do you wanna ride inside my love?
You can see inside me
Will you come inside me?
Do you wanna ride inside my love?
ROFLMBO!!! You are just too much Mayner..smh...ha ha ha ha!
Whoppers memories...
These were and still are my favorite candy! In our local candy store in the 50's, Whoppers were sold loose...2 for a penny. My grandfather would give us a penny and we'd race to the store.
One day, my father gave me a dime! I was in my glory! Again I raced to the store and was so proud to be able to buy 20 of them. I thought I was a big shot walking home with a whole bag of candy.
To this day, every time I eat Whoppers, I think back to that day when I was "rich." ~ Marilyn from New Jersey
I was 10 years old in 1956 and I remember being addicted to whoppers. I used to help my Dad count his money and one day he had a lot (maybe 30) of one dollar bills. When he wasn't looking, I stole $1.00. The first thing I did was go to the store and buy as many whoppers as I could get for my (stolen) dollar.
Later that night Dad told me that he had (lost) one of his dollars and because of that....he couldn't pay the electric bill that week. I started crying and told him what I did. Naturally he forgave me... and also taught me a valuable lesson. If I wanted whoppers... I had to work for them. THAT'S when I started to clean the house and make my own money. Almost ALL of it went for whoppers. I still love whoppers and now I buy them by the box. ~ Michele from Pennsylvania
I can sure remember the Whoppers, because the first few times that I ate them, I would hold them in my hand so long that I usually ended up licking the Chocolate off my fingers and I still remember hearing my Mother telling me to please put them in my mouth and not to hold them in my hand or she wasn't going to buy me any more. I soon learned that if I would take tiny, tiny bites all around the Whopper I could get all the Chocolate off first and then have all the Malt melting ever so slowly in my mouth. Not only did I tell my 3 children how to nibble off the chocolate first, but I also showed my 11 Grandchildren how and I hope someday they will show their children how to also. Thank You so much for the Happy Memories. ~ Sandra from Michigan

THE GOAT (R.I.P)
Real Name: Earl Manigault
Hometown: NYC, New York,
Born: September 7th 1944...Died: May 15th 1998
Height: 6"1
Position: Guard
Affiliations: Rucker Legend

The Goat held court against countless NBA pros and Hall-of-Famers. This sleek 6-1 court-acrobat ran like a gazelle and seemed to defy gravity when he took flight. The only thing that could bring The Goat down to earth were his own personal vices on the street. Earl will always be remembered as a playground legend of his day. Earl "the Goat" Manigault is perhaps the best basketball player ever to have played the game. A shade over 6 feet tall, he could dunk effortlessly with both hands. With a vertical leap of 52 inches, he had the ability to jump up and grab quarters off of the top of a basketball backboard. He played during the renaissance of New York City basketball in the 1960s, at in the famous Rucker League where the best playground players played with the pros every summer.
"One of the greatest players the Rucker has ever seen," said Joe "The Destroyer" Hammond. "The best basketball player his size in the history of New York City," said Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Called "the king of his own generation of ballplayers, and the idol for the generation that followed" by Pete Axthelm in The City Game, Earl Manigault never realized his incredible potential as a basketball player because he succumbed to the lure of drugs in the Harlem neighborhood of his youth.
Earl "The Goat" Manigault, the New York City playground basketball legend whose life was chronicled in an HBO movie two years ago, recently died of congestive heart failure at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan. He was 53.
