    Ms. Antoinette,
Ron Cuzner indirectly had a great influence in my jazz listening. On spring break one year my best friend and I drove to Chicago to see snow. (Neither one of us had seen snow) and we saw friends in Milwaukee. I was sorta into jazz, but I had not gotten past CTI, but he kept talking about Cuzner. I would sit with him and many friends and listened for the few nights that we were there. We went to the record store, and he picked out about 10 albums I had to have, ranging from Kinda Blue, Koln Concert, to John McLaughlin. It was a great start. He kept in touch and would send me lists of "Must haves" and he was a great mentor. Sorry you lost all your Cuzner stuff. Do you have any playlists?

    A Day Without RainĀ

I stand in the open window
with my face to the sea
    contemplating the similarities
    between the breeze
    the calm, and... me.

    Throwing my head back gently
    upon my thoughts
    while hugging the sun's rays
    leaning upon life's caring shoulder
    dizzy..'dizzy' in joy's haze.

Feeling the mist of the wave's foam
    as it twinkles softly
    against my cheeks
    while contemplating how I love
this moment, oh! how I love this moment
    as the panting sea ....peaks.

    The wonders of this beauty
    stand before me, and more
    on this day without rain
near the sea and the shore.

    My hope, matching the rainbow
    that straddles the sky
my dreams that whisper in my ear's
    a joyful...lullaby.

    Thoughts of the future
and how wonderful it will be
    stirring my expectation
    in a grateful symphony!

    I smell the aroma
of the sand and the sea
    as I trace each cloud
    with my imagination ...tenderly.

    Connected with life's pulse
as I'm locked in it's embrace
while I stand in the open window
    with the sea....in my face.
