I'll bet you have a copy...
"I'm Still Here," by The Notations
Just invited another member of The Soulful Detroit Family to The OOTP Family, Brother Juicefree. He would be a great addition to the site, so hopefully he will come aboard also.
hello how are you , i came on your page the other day wasnt able to send you a comment i hope this go through, thank for stopping by i love all your music, when i have time to get on the baby keep me pretty busy i have a 11 month old son he will be 1 saturday i want to put his picture on here i dont have a clue how to do that ,if you can show me i would really appreciate that, thank in advance, but when i have time i wil be coming on here i love this site , have a blessed day
Russell, a few months ago i saw a video when you were with the original group and you guys were on a rooftop singing "I can't give you anything (but my love)" your afro was blowing in the wind...LOL. I just thought that was so cool.
One question, did you ever keep any of the old outfits you guys wore? i like the gold and white outfits you guys wore on Soul Train while singing "You Make Me Feel Brand New" and "Betcha By Golly Wow". I'm only 42 years old, but that was my kind of Era right there, i should have been born in 1947 instead of 1967....LOL

solemannking,
I only have one of the suits. The one that's on the back cover of the "Wonder Woman" album. Nice forest green wool suits with green satin lapels. Unfortunately, most of the suits did not make it through the ages. Most of our suits were wool and either dry rot got them or moths.

solemannking,
Some days the afro was tight and some days it was out of control. I still like the way we wore them better than the uncombed, knotty look that they're wearing today.

I feel you on that Russell, the Afros of the 70's were the greatest. I was at Walmart yesterday and this guy walked in and you could tell that he had just taken his braids out and left it at that, if he had just taken the time to pick it out and pat it into place, it would have been The Bomb...LOL
Oh my those 2 pics are priceless, did Grannie get on your daddy and uncles about something? they don't look to happy....LOL. Your Grannie and her sister were stylish....SMILE. Thanks on the page
Sorry for your loss Mama Edie. She is beautiful, you do great work restoring pics, that's an amazing job. I need to find more old pics, Uncle Beany be putting them up so i can't find them, he calls me a picture thief.....LOL.
Good afternoon Sweet Mama Edie, i see we got a Isley Brothers Video-thon going....LOL. I found yet another Doo Wop song by them. Pretty soon we gonna put youtube out of business and everybody will come here....LOL
Hey Sweet Mama Edie, i'm doing fine and getting more excited as the days go by...How are you doing?....It would be nice if we could separate the videos into various groups, but that seems like to much work....LOL
Thank you Mama Edie, i had to darken that book of music a little bit, it was to light for the colors i wanted to use....How are you doing this early morning? i'm sleepy....LOL
I'm sure they are doing ok, have not heard from them since the last time i talked to my daughter, tell Eboni, i hope she feels better soon, that HINI is really going around.
Talk about a dummy, read what i found on yahoo answers....

Why did eddie kendricks leave the temptations?

He and Otis Redding left at the same time. They both tried doing singles on their own, and were semi-successful. Otis Redding wanted the group's to be names Otis Redding and the Temptations, like Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Diana Ross and the Supremes. But the others in the group said no, it was always just going to be the Temptations.
This is one of the reasons why he left. He was heavily into drugs and couldn't be counted on to perform every night. Eventually, Otis and Eddie started touring as the Temptations. During that time, there were two groups named the Temptations. One with the original 3 Temptations who were left, plus two more, and the one with Otis and Eddie and 3 more guys. Both groups got together in a concert, but I don't know when. Otis was shot to death because of a drug problem.
The ripples run into the sun
And your smile blends with the clouds that flutter by me
As I sit on the edge of a dream
What do I see? what do I see?
I see the children playing in the sun
And there is love enough for each and everyone
As I sit on the edge of a dream
That's what I see! that's what I see!
Things that might be, if we look we just might see
Paint the world so brightly, let our freedom ring
Merry-go-round without a sound
I hear your song in the breeze that rock-a-byes me
As I sit on the edge of a dream
What do I see? what do I see?
I see the lord inside of everyone
Can it be my dream will really come
As I sit on the edge of a dream
That's what I see! that's what I see!
Things that might be, if we look we just might see
Paint the world so brightly, let our freedom ring
And here comes the morning sun
I wonder if my dream will really come
As I site on the edge of a dream
Good Afternoon Sweet Mama Edie...How you doing today? how is Eboni doing? i been hanging with Mama All Day, now i have a big headache, not from hanging with her though....LOL
