I can relate to what you are going through I am sorry for your lost..I too had a German Shepard that I loved very much.You know the Vet told me one day that I would soon loose him because German Shepards only live around 12 years. I was sick when he told me and I said "you didn't have to tell me that" and sure enough around that time he passed.I know it's a hard thing to get over, but it will get better.I could go on and on talking about my Chico but I won't.
