I am too excited to type! You know Powell is here....

You are in Newark! Home of my favorite Jazz Station-WGBO, which I've set up to stream here. Check it out! Again, WELCOME! There is much to bask in. Enjoy!

    Light of Africa

    shining in my soul
    exquisitely

    When you inhale,
    I ‘feel’ it
    and the things

    that you look upon
    I see.

    Light of Africa

    what you see through
    the eyes of your passion
    I see too,

    and in moments of silence

    when your mood
    turns to love
    my heart is beckoned
    as well.

    Light of Africa

    caressing my dreams

    in soft hues,

    with shadows crawling
    over the meadow
    while my love burns
    through the night
    with flowing power...
    strong.

    Light of Africa

    quickening my pulse,
    shining brightly
    in the breezes sway,
    running through my
    veins forever
    where my love

    for you
    shall stay...

    My Light of Africa.

I don't own this little cheesy town... When I got here I took a job at Robert's Lounge and Toran's spinning records... I brought all kinds of jams from Chicago, right? Among them---Never Too Much By Luther. The DJ spinning ahead of me was finishing up and I wanted to "gift" him and his crowd with the special preview. He fought me tooth n nail Q... whining about how he couldn't take a chance putting something potentially duddy on. I insisted.

Well.... he relented and at first there was a HUSH. Then the crowd JUMPED up on the dance floor and all you could see was a sea of bobbing black folks' heads grooving...DOWN!!!! Doubt me will he??? Hmph! Nope, I don't claim this cheddarberry burb...Nope. When I first arrived in '81 I prayed...Please Lord don't let me turn into a Milwaukeean. Thanks for your continued encouragement too.

Why thank you... I miss my 45's. I didn't realize what gold they would be now. With that little spindle that we had to put in the middle... :=)

Good Mernting *in Madea voice* I want to help with the Music you were trying to post here. I examined the code but couldn't ascertain which playlist or song you were trying to post. Let me know and I'll fix it for you if you want.
