Tuesday, February 24 02:21 am "Les coucous, tapis bleu et rose" by Henri-Matisse is sold for 32 million Euros ($41 million) during a Christie's auction of the private art collection of late French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent at the Grand Palais museum on the Champs Elysees in Paris February 23, 2009.
Taxes, fees and shipping & handling drove the final price up to $45.6 million. Its like they say, a painting is worth what ever someone is willing to pay for it.
