Just about anywhere there is music. Mr G's is still around. Red Peppers on 87th, Visions on Ashland and just about every corner tavern in town.
Chicago Steppers - Pete & Linda Frazier

I really, really enjoyed looking that this video. It definitely put a smile on my face and gave me a good feeling inside...Wonderful memories at their best...Thanks Sole...(smile)
Thanks Sole! I thought I had them in the video section along with Ty and Skippy. It don't matter though. I wish Momma hadd'a video's me and Deen-Deen boppin. The Original Steppettes! LOL
I swear those folks in those early clips had to be in pretty good shape.LOL Edie did you see the old skyline in the vid where the Prudential building was the tallest thing out there. Things sure have changed.
I love that video..and yep, they used to be throwin the lady up in the air and everything. I remember that when the Prudential Bldg was the tallest one. It makes me think about when we would go to Grant Park and I would be marveling at The Buckingham Fountain. They would have these Coca-Cola vendors on the side and I swear that pop tasted way better back then in the paper cups for a dime. It was cold! I would drink it down until it burned my throat then smack my lips...LOL!!!!!
I love talk about the olden days...SIGH/LOL
Me too Sole...I keep thinking about churning my little frame to make my hoola-hoop go round. I had a yellow one and Dena had a blue one. Some kids could do it with their necks...ugh!

I would always have this nervous feeling when I was getting ready to jump into the double-dutch ropes..
but once I got in I would be tearin it UP!!!! LOL I would be stamping out a well choreographed number as them girls turned the double-dutch ropes and I would twirl in unison in between the turning ropes then right at the right moment...hop out without touching the ropes...

......................Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!! Mmmmmm the memories!!!!
