Momma said I couldn't watch Flash Gordon on Sundays if I didn't go to Sunday School. She would give Me and Dena .50 for the collection plate and off we'd go, running to church. I would say to my sister..
"Put your foot right here on the step Dena.." and we'd tap our little feet on the bottom step of the church entrance. Then, I would say..."Now, if Momma asks us if we went to church--we won't be lyin on Sunday!!"

Then off we'd go to the candy store with the collection plate money. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!

I was 8 and Dena was 6. Then I'd run home to watch my beloved Flash Gordon. It wasn't right if I missed Flash on Sundays ya know!

LOL!!!!!!

I remember Hopalong Cassidy. Aunt Lou and Uncle Cliff would have a multi-colored piece of plastic taped to their TV Screen (to simulate color TV--LOLOL!!!) Depending on how you moved your head, that's the color it would be in..LOL
Thanks Edie...Your'e the best. Peace, Saint
Flash Gordon was one of my favorite shows...Edie, you have a fantastic memory. I can't even remember how old I was then, but I guess if I took the time I could figure it out...lol
