About Me

Let The Love

Going straight down raw, Ben Grayson aka Bennson is finally making his way through the Scandinavian mountains into the city of Stockholm with a knockout soul/boogie full-length album! If you’re digging that Luther sound of the late 70’s (check “Bad Boy (Having A Party)“ to get in deep), making love when you hear the voice of Chaka Khan and truly loving the beats of Don Blackman’s “Heart's Desire”. Well in that case, just add a few deep house kicks, new amazing vocal talents and a bit of the nu skool boogie thought and you get “Let The Love” by Bennson.

With an astonishing musical life Ben Grayson has done and experienced it all. Been taught music by former rock stars, learned to play the classical piano, played jazz covers in his teens, gone bonkers on a keytar with Aussie synth bands, and released quality underground dance music on his own recording label. With that said, the world is finally ready to embrace the new and brilliant sound of his recent alias, Bennson.

Working with some of the finest vocalists and musicians to rise out of “down under”, Ben gives us just a taste of the magnificent sound that has the potential of blowing the minds of any man, woman and child in need of some good old fashion soul with a 21st century twist. So when male and female vocalists like Abby Joyce and Kylie Aldus put their soul into work on tracks like “Whatever It Is” and the theme of the album, “Let The Love”…you know it’s on!

I carry your heart with me
(I carry it in my heart)
I am never without it
(anywhere I go
you go, my dear;
...and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,
my darling)

I fear no fate
(for you are my fate,
my sweet)
I want no world
(for beautiful you are
my world, my true),
and it's you are
whatever a moon
has always meant
and whatever a sun
will always sing
is you.

Here is the deepest secret
nobody knows..
(here is the root of the root
and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky
of a tree called life;
which grows higher than the
soul can hope
or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder
that's keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart
(I carry it in my heart)

Remembering Q

E.FM Radio Spotlight

Quincy Jones is thoroughly entwined in the musical background of my young adulthood. A genius of unique quality. I have been posting blogs and music throughout the years and decided to embark on the arduous but satisfying task of gathering some of it to remember the excellent legacy that he left.
