...by The Gospel Cleps was Herb Kent's sign-off tune each night when he ended his radio show in Chicago during the 60's. He was at WVON-AM at the time and I never missed a show. Herb "The Cool Gent" is still my favorite radio personality and this tune really brings back memories.
Someone wrote to me and stated that he's been searching for this tune for years, unsuccessfully. He also stated that nobody knew who it was by until he found 'me', so I'm happy to help. He even called Herb Kent, to no avail.
I'm going to research and see if I can't find more info on this recording that's featured on my playlist. Stay tuned.
