I took my walk around the square today
feeling a sense of
renewal and ease
I noticed the children
as they ran and played
as I strolled
holding hands with
the breeze.

My thoughts sauntered lazily throughout
my head
as my senses
inhaled sights and sounds...
I smelled popcorn
and chinese food
flowers
and soft rain
as I continued
to walk through
my rounds.

There was something
else I noticed though
that I sometimes
tend to forget
as this lady
pushing a baby
carriage brought
to mind
our eyes locked
she smiled
and my heart
then recalled
that a SMILE
is a 'treasure'
to find.
