ƸӜƷ A New Day ƸӜƷ
The petal's whispered,
blowing their soft
tranquil spray
towards the morning's sigh
...while from the west
a blue-gray sky
waved a somber farewell.
The little sparrow
made it's way through the sky
...unnoticed by all but God
and the wind.
The sparrow loved caressing
the breeze with it's thoughts
and soaring in the moving
mist that twinkled upon it's
plumage, while outlining it's
form
..tenderly.
Just ahead though,
clouds began to frown
and gather,
looming in wait
and slowly, panting
...thunder.
The rain began to pelt
the tiny bird's wings
as they fluttered
courageously....
...matching the beat
of this brave finch's heart.
Lightning flashed across
the little birdie's path
as it closed it's eyes
but flapped it's wings
that much harder.
Through frightening gusts
,,and stinging pellets
from a frowning cloud's anger,
the bird continued to fly,
defying fear.
Through torrential showers
the bird flew,
pressed against the wind,
but there would be no giving in,
because the little bird 'knew'
that it's Creator was watching
ƸӜƷ intently ƸӜƷ
and that made it feel strong
as it began to feel God's
breath...
blowing it gently along,
to the safe
welcoming arms
of a Golden Orange sky
and a beautiful
new day.
