I often think about Wanda, Sheila, and Jeannette. We sang together in the chorus at Juliette G. Lowe Elementary-from 1963 to 1965. Miss Fitzgerald was our chorus instructor. At that time the girls were known in Chicago as "The Hutchinson Sunbeams". Me and Wanda were in the same room. Jeannette was a year older and little Sheila, who had a voice like Stephanie Mills--was a year younger.

The one behind me Carolyn Davis, was the lead singer. Beverly Lingo-in front of me sang soprano, and I sang alto.

Believe it or not..we were graduating from Jr. High School. Amazing that we got to wear caps and gowns.

competition going on with the Hutchinsons...lol! Just think, I could'a been a contenda!! LOL
