You are right, Thompkins voice is a little smoother. But to find a replacement that sounds this much like him..is nothing short of amazing. When original lead Russell Thompkins, Jr. left. Love and Murrell brought in two new members, Harold "Eban" Brown, formerly of the Delfonics, as lead and tenor Van Fields. I don`t think most people can tell the difference............ after a drink or two I know they can`t. LOL

These are The Stylistics i saw back in 2004 and they were pretty good, Eban Brown is a great lead singer, but Russell Thompkins Jr. will always be the sound of The Stylistics
