Maureen Reillette "Rebbie" Brown (née Jackson), professionally known as Rebbie Jackson, (born May 29, 1950 in Gary, Indiana) is an American singer, best known as the oldest child of the successful Jackson family and sister of pop icons Michael and Janet. As a singer, she is most famous for the 1984 hit, "Centipede".

Born in Gary, Indiana the oldest child of Katherine and Joseph Jackson. From there she was in in a very talented musical family background where her brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael known as the Jackson 5 which later included Randy and was called the Jacksons. She is also the big sister of Latoya and Janet. The musically inclined family has taken the world by storm.

After one last album, 1998's Yours Faithfully, which featured the mildly-successful title track of the same name, Rebbie quietly retired from the music scene, until 2001 when she performed in Las Vegas for six months. Her son Auggie was the guitarist for her Las Vegas act. During the act, she did several of her hits, some Motown classics, and even a few of her brothers' hits. Rebbie has been married to her childhood sweetheart Nathaniel Brown since November 30, 1968. The couple has three children: daughters, Stacee and Yashi, and son, Austin.

Thanks. Yes, I still listen to this song. Did you know that The Weather Girls are the background singers of this song? I remember my Mom bought Rebbie Jackson album for me for a X-mas gift.
No...sure didn't. I love your posts---always informative and you have a good deal of knowledge.
Rebbie is my favorite of the Jackson sister. Not to mention the most normal and the best looking. This was a great song, not because of her voice but it is a well written dance tune. Just makes ya want to get on the dance floor and do your thing. I thought she would have some staying power in the music business. But I guess some people were saying..."Just how many Jacksons can we take?" LOL
