This is taken from what I think is a very good forum topic in my other Steppers Group. The author is MsGlovely. Share your thoughts.

"First of all, I really enjoy steppin' a great deal. I love that it's so diverse with the different styles of steppin'. I'm not speaking towards all, but one thing I noticed is that the some of the new skool guys turn the women a LOT. I feel like I'm going to lose my dinner sometimes from all the turning. I do enjoy the challenge when a guy throws a tuff turn on me, but just not every pull. I'm sure I will stir some controversy here, but I think all the turns sometimes takes away from the "dance" part of steppin' that can be so beautiful. I love watching a lady that can footwork, which is not easy to do. Again, I know there are varied styles out there, but it would be nice to dance with someone who is not afraid of a woman showing what she's got sometime.

Clearly, the guys dictates the flow, and that's just the way it is. We have to acclimate to his style or never get asked to dance by him again (maybe). But I love dancing with a guy whom complements my style of steppin too and can showcase his as well. It would be nice to know what you guys think. Do you think a lot of turning takes away from the dance, or it doesn't matter one way or the other?

I hadn't seen any discussions other than the first by our wonderful moderator. I'm sure steppers have some things to discuss, don't we?"
