So...tell us about yourself Rico...how did you start your mixing career?
Wow, this is something else,i am caught off guard on this one Edie,,,now you know i am a shy kinda guy,but i will comply as best that i can,,,,,it all started with my parents,back in the early 60s,,,,,, ,mom and dad were always having some kind of party at the house when pops was in the air force in South Dakota ,he would have his buddies and their family come over and it seems like they would party all night long,i got my first taste of the music Bug then,listening to Jackie Wilson ,James Brown Jr,Walker,and so on,,,,,Then we moved to Jersey City,and the same ol same ol,,,Parties,and more Parties,,,,,me and my brother would be dancing and collecting all that cash money,,,,,you know how those old folks would be saying to the young kids ,,,hey ,yall come in here and show us that new dance thats out,and we go and lay new tile on the floor,,,lol,,,getting older i started splicing two turntables together without a mixer then,and by the time i was 16,17 i started playing in the local lounge called T &Js Lounge,,,and highschool parties,what memories,,by the time i was in my 20s I formed Mayner Prodution,and was spinning on three turn tables and scraching on the reel to reel and playing at choice clubs in upstate NY and NJ ,College parties and battles with the sugarhill gangs DJs sound on sound,,,,i thought they were good ,but you know that im going to say that was better ,well ,i was,,,lol,,, then getting a little radio play on WHBI and cutting my first record on wax in NYC Sunshine records on 46th street,,,there are so many memories, had lots of fun,,,,,then i lost my mojo when the technolgy was getting behind,i decided to retire from djing in 1988,,,,,,,and now at 50 got a little nudge from Edie and some friends,to go ot and buy a mixer and try and recapture some of those old moments,,,,,,,,,,,,and this is what came out,,,,,,,,,Mayner Mixes,,,,,,thanks edie ,,,,,,,,Enrico of Mayner Production ( rmayner )click to comment

Old School C ,i remember when i did this and posted it,and you doing the running man ,lol,,i like it but ,,,i can do alot better,,,,,this is when i first got back on the mix,,,first time in 19 years ,,,,,but if i had a real studio to work out of,,,,,,,,,i can realy say this,,,,,,,,there would be no kid capree,or pherell,,,,ok maybe pherell,,but this was the LOVE OF MY LIFE back then,and i still have love for the MIX,,,,,,thanks Old school C
It would be nice to have a studio,to release the REAL MAGIC...
